We are living through history.
While that was already true with the coronavirus pandemic, the protests around the country in response to the police murder of George Floyd have cemented that fact.
It’s a troubling time. On the one hand, we are told to stay home to protect ourselves and others so we don’t spread the coronavirus. On the other, it is extremely difficult to watch injustices like systemic racism continue to happen and feel powerless to do anything about it because gathering with others increases the risk of coronavirus spread.
However, there have always been those who aren’t able to attend protests but are still able to make a difference. While we’re facing multiple challenges as a society right now, that just means we need to get creative, not back down.
